From Eco-Worry to Eco-Action
Turn Climate Anxiety into Confident Action
For women who care deeply about the planet but feel paralysed by overwhelm
You've read the headlines. You know what's happening.
The wildfires. The floods. The "we have X years left" warnings that keep getting shorter. The quiet extinction of species you didn't even know existed. The parts-per-million numbers that mean nothing until you realise they mean everything.
And you feel it — that weight in your stomach, that creeping sense that the future is darker than we want to admit.
But here's what's actually happening: You're stuck between knowing and doing.
You're aware enough to feel anxious, but not empowered enough to feel like anything you do matters. What's the point of your reusable water bottle when corporations are pumping out millions of tons of CO2? How does anything you change in your small life make a difference against that?
So you freeze. You feel the anxiety. You read the news and feel worse. You think about making changes but don't know where to start — or you start and it feels like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
And meanwhile? That eco-anxiety is quietly draining you — affecting your mood, your hope for the future, your ability to just be without the constant background dread — but you're still not taking action that feels meaningful or empowering.
What you’ll achieve
In 4 months, everything shifts.
You'll go from paralysed to purposeful. From anxious to empowered. From "nothing I do matters" to "I'm making choices that align with my values — and it feels good."
Here's what will actually be different:
✓ You'll have transformed your anxiety from a constant drain into occasional concern — manageable, not debilitating
✓ You'll have taken concrete action in your home and life that meaningfully reflects what you care about (no more living in contradiction to your values)
✓ You'll know exactly what matters and what doesn't — so you can let go of the perfectionism and guilt
✓ You'll have a clear, personal plan for living more sustainably that works for YOUR life, YOUR budget, YOUR reality
✓ You'll sleep better — literally — because you're no longer carrying the weight of inaction
You won't have solved climate change (that's not your job). But you'll have solved your relationship with it — and that changes everything.
Who this is for
You're in the right place if:
You're stuck between knowing and doing: You understand what's happening to the planet, you care deeply, but you're paralysed by the overwhelm rather than taking meaningful action
The anxiety is taking up too much space: It's affecting your mood, your sleep, your decision-making, your sense of hope — and you're ready to transform your relationship with it
You want alignment, not perfection: You don't need to be zero-waste or live in a yurt — you want to make changes that actually matter and feel good, in your real life with your real constraints
You're ready for both inner and outer work: You understand this isn't just about swapping products — it's about doing the deeper work to shift from paralysed to purposeful
You're NOT in the right place if:
You're looking for climate science education, activism training, or help starting an eco-business (I'm a life coach who specialises in transformation, not a climate expert)
You just want a list of eco-swaps without doing the inner work on anxiety and mindset
You're not actually struggling with eco-anxiety — you're just casually interested in being more sustainable
How this works
This is deep, personalised coaching — not a one-size-fits-all programme.
We work together 1:1 for 4 months, with 13 coaching sessions via video call (intentionally spaced to give you flexibility when life happens — not every week needs a session for transformation to stick). Each session is entirely tailored to where you are, what you're working through, and what you need most.
What happens in our sessions:
We work on both the internal (your anxiety, your mindset, your relationship with climate information) and the external (the concrete changes you're making in your home and life)
You bring what's alive for you that week — whether that's spiralling after reading the news, decision paralysis about a home change, or celebrating progress
I coach you through stuck points, help you clarify what matters, challenge the stories keeping you frozen, and support you in taking aligned action
Between sessions, you're taking action — making changes, testing new approaches, living differently — and we debrief and adjust as you go
This isn't a course with modules or a rigid structure. It's responsive, human coaching that meets you exactly where you are and helps you move forward in the way that works for YOU.
What the transformation actually looks like
Before we work together:
Anxiety is running the show. You read the news and spiral. You want to change but feel overwhelmed. You're stuck between caring too much and doing too little. Your home and habits don't reflect what you actually value. The guilt and helplessness are constant companions.
During our 4 months:
Things start to shift — sometimes subtly, sometimes dramatically. You begin to understand WHY you've been stuck and what actually needs to change (both internally and externally). You take action — real, concrete changes in your home. Some feel easy, some feel hard, and we coach through all of it. You develop new tools for managing anxiety when it spikes. You start to trust that what you're doing matters. You have setbacks, and we work through them. You celebrate wins. The paralysis loosens its grip. You're living differently.
After we finish:
You read climate news and feel concerned but grounded — not paralysed. Your anxiety is manageable, not constant. Your home reflects your values in tangible ways (less waste, fewer toxins, choices that matter). You have a clear sense of what YOU can do and what's not your responsibility. You feel confident in your decisions. You're no longer living in that painful contradiction between knowing and doing. And most importantly: you've reclaimed your mental space and your sense of agency. You're doing your part, and it's enough.
Hi, I'm Carola.
I know exactly what eco-anxiety feels like because I've lived it too.
I care deeply about the planet. I read the news and feel the weight of it. And for a long time, that care felt more like a burden than a motivation — the constant guilt, the overwhelm, the "what's the point?" paralysis that kept me stuck.
But here's what I've learned through my own journey: Our minds can serve up ‘wonky thoughts’ that lead us astray. Thoughts like "nothing I do matters" or "it's too big a problem for me to make a difference." Those thoughts feel true — but they keep us stuck, anxious, and inactive.
I've done the inner work on my own eco-anxiety, using the same coaching tools I now share with clients. I've learned to read climate news without spiralling. I've made concrete changes in my home that align with my values — from swapping out products to literally knitting my own organic cotton dishcloths (yes, really: I call them "Dishcloth with a Mission") to replace microfibre ones.
I'm not perfect. I'm on this journey too. But I've transformed my relationship with eco-anxiety from paralysing to purposeful - and that's exactly what I help my clients do.
I'm a fully certified life coach and ACC-accredited with the International Coaching Federation (the world standard for coaching). I started coaching because I experienced firsthand how our minds can sabotage us with unhelpful thinking — and how powerful it is to have the tools to challenge those thoughts and take aligned action instead.
If you're ready to transform your eco-anxiety into empowered action, I'd love to work with you.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
No. I'm a life coach, not a therapist. Coaching is forward-focused and action-oriented — we work on where you are now and where you want to go. If you're dealing with clinical anxiety that requires therapeutic intervention, I'd recommend starting with a therapist. But if you're a generally functioning person whose eco-anxiety is keeping you stuck and you want tools to move forward, coaching is perfect for that.
-
The goal isn't to eliminate all anxiety – that would be unrealistic (and arguably not even desirable when it comes to caring about important issues). The goal is to transform your relationship with it so it's no longer paralysing you. You'll develop tools to process climate information, challenge unhelpful thinking, and take action despite discomfort. Most clients find their anxiety becomes a manageable background concern rather than debilitating foreground noise.
-
No – and that's actually the point. I'm not here to give you a prescriptive checklist of "do these 50 swaps." We work together to clarify what matters most to YOU, what's realistic for YOUR life, and what changes will feel meaningful rather than performative. You'll make decisions that align with your values and circumstances – and I'll coach you through the internal blocks that come up along the way.
-
Not at all. You don't need to be an expert – that's not what this is about. This is about transforming your relationship with eco-anxiety and taking action that feels aligned with your values. I might share what I've learned on my own journey, but this isn't an eco-education course. It's coaching to help you move from stuck to purposeful.

Consistency is important for this work — regular coaching helps build momentum and accountability. The 13 sessions are designed with flexibility in mind, so if you need to miss or reschedule occasionally due to life circumstances, that's fine. However, if you can't commit to attending regularly over the next 4 months, this probably isn't the right time for you.
-
Real, lasting transformation takes time – both the inner work (shifting anxiety patterns, challenging ingrained thinking) and the outer work (making sustainable changes in your home and life, embedding new habits). In my experience, 4 months gives us the space to go deep, work through setbacks, and ensure the changes actually stick. A shorter programme might give you some quick wins, but you'd likely still be left doing the heavy lifting on your own. That said, if 4 months feels like too big a commitment right now, this might not be the right time – and that's okay.
-
Payment is typically made upfront, but I understand that's not always possible. If you need to discuss a payment plan, please mention this when you book your consult call and we can explore options.
-
I want you to feel confident in this investment. That's why we start with a consult call – so we can both assess whether this is the right fit. Once we begin working together and payment is made, the investment is non-refundable. This ensures we're both fully committed to your transformation.
-
If you're reading this page and resonating with the problem section at the top, you're in the right place. You don't need to have crippling, clinical-level anxiety. If climate news leaves you feeling helpless, if you're stuck between caring and doing, if you want to live more aligned with your values but feel paralysed – that's enough. This work is for you.
-
That's absolutely fine. While this programme is framed around eco-anxiety, I'm a generalist life coach — and we can work on whatever comes up for you. Many clients find that as we work on one area, other topics naturally emerge – relationships, career or business challenges, other anxieties... I'm here to coach you on whatever you need.
-
By the end of our 4 months together, you'll have transformed your relationship with eco-anxiety and have the tools to keep moving forward.
At that point, some clients feel complete and ready to fly solo. Others want ongoing support and choose maintenance sessions — monthly or fortnightly check-ins to continue deepening the work. We'll talk about what feels right for you as we approach the end, and there's absolutely no pressure either way.
-
Honest answer: You don't know for certain, and neither do I. What I can tell you is that this work requires your active participation – showing up, being honest, doing the work between sessions, taking action even when it feels uncomfortable. If you're willing to do that, transformation is absolutely possible. The consult call is your chance to get a feel for whether we're a good fit and whether you trust me to support you through this.
Ready to Begin?
The first step is a free consultation call (up to 55 minutes) where we'll explore whether this programme is right for you. We'll talk about where you are now, what you're hoping to achieve, and whether we're a good fit to work together.
No pressure, no obligation – just an honest conversation about your transformation.
